Customer Reviews:
Good introduction of monopoly for young children September 15, 2008 We have 2kids -3yrs and 5yrs.The 3year old was just happy to have something he could do,push the head and make it talk ,then add his houses when instructed - easy and inclusive for him.Our 5year old was able to also do this and be the banker, the money is just 1 so easy to do and count. Very simple with not too many rules.Easy to keep young kids interest for duration of the game.
Very disappointing December 30, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
What a poor introduction to monopoly for my 4 year old . The game is meant to educate my child however the character often miscounts as you push him and thus fails in its unique selling point . The game is built to a poor standard and as it is aimed at small children is again a failing . Play the original game that we all grew up with , sometimes the old ways are the best
A bit slow..... December 26, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We bought this game for our older 2 children (aged 5 & 6) for Christmas and although the concept of the game is a good one in reality Mr Monopoly is just tooo slow in reacting for children of the age range this game is recommended for.
The idea is that you (or the child) pushes Mr Monopoly's head and he tells you how many spaces to move and as you push him his car can feel around the nobbles on the board which he then counts out loud to the player however sometimes he mis-counts which puts the game out and can cause rent to be missed. Also in pushing Mr Monopoly's head unless you're really gentle (and what 4-7 year old is!!!) he moves as you push and that throws him as well.
If you and your child/ren can bear to play slowly it's a good introduction to Monoploy but it might be just as easy to use a dice and make up your own Chance consequences as and when you land on them.
