Practical as a torch as well as a toy November 24, 2008 Well worth buying - although the switch has a tendency to be quite temperamental the LED torch lasts for months at a time and is practical to use as a torch (provided you're happy with everything being lit by blue light..). For the price you can't really go wrong.
Too easily broken! October 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 5 year old son who loved it, but it just wasn't well enough made. It broke very quickly and I wish I had spent my money on something more durable.

Well it's a pen. D'oh! August 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Didn't think it would be a pen. And not a very good one at that, the pen ran out within 5 hours! Still it keeps my brother entertained and I didn't think he minded much about the pen it's just not value for money...
At least a pen would have been useful April 24, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Have you ever opened a gift to find it is totally not the sort of gift you liked to receive. You wonder who bought it you and why ? Then you get that feeling of embarrassment. Well, this is how I felt when I saw this item. Firstly, it looks so much like a pen, it really needed to have one built into it, to make it worth its while. The LED flashlight is pretty hopeless, the item looks cheap and plasticy because it is just that !
Most of the Dr. Who tie in stuff I've seen has been pretty well finished, epsecially the Daleks. This item is far from that and if you were considering buying one for a kid, I'd forget it and opt for one of the other sonic screwdrivers on the market.
