I was given one of these as leaving present - it proved to be a fantastic personalised gift which I really appreciated. Looked very professional and was a lot of fun.
Not so bad, Good for kids. January 15, 2006 13 out of 20 found this review helpful
I would say that this game is idea for children aged between 7 and 14. Adults will not got alot out of it because it is basically a cut-down version of the real thing. We have used mainly familiar houses and building from our village. This in itself is fun for the children. We time our games. This keeps the tension abit and saves the children getting too bored. Half an hour to an hour seems about right. Then we add up all the cash and mortgage value of each player and the one with most money wins. Simply!
Great concept - but ... December 7, 2005 52 out of 55 found this review helpful
I bought this with some doubts having read the other reviews on this site, so I knew a bit of what to expect. On the plus side, the concept is really good - a totally unique board game - would make a great present, or family project. The software is very user friendly, it opens up with the basic board, then you enter your own street names, chance cards etc and then just follow the printing intructions, stick it all together and you're done. Pretty staightforward, easy and quite quick to do. The sample games on the CD-ROM have some good ideas for inspiration. On the negative side, as other reviewers have said the quality of the materials is pretty poor - cheap card and plastic pieces. The lottery squares seem unnecessarily complicated especially for kids. The finished game is a bit limited - can't buy houses or anything for the properties. I resorted to buying a new complete game and ripping off the pieces, hotels etc, and designing my own title deeds. If I wanted to ever do the same thing again I think I would buy an ordinary monopoly set, some card and sticky paper, a bit of imagination and give it a personal revamp.

Monopoly fans beware December 20, 2004 176 out of 184 found this review helpful
Any fans of Monopoly who have considered this as a personalised version of the popular game - it's not.The tag line goes: "Custom make your very own board game - With just some scissors, a PC & any simple colour printer" - the key words in this sentence are BOARD GAME, not monopoly game. For starters, there aren't as many squares on the board as proper Monopoly & there's no Jail square. They've also introduced a lottery square, where you bet to try & roll a certain number. Besides not being the same board, inside the box is a board, a few sheets of printer paper, some printable stickers, a CD ROM, six plastic counters & two dice. The instruction book is vague & doesn't come with any rules for the game, so those unfamiliar with monopoly will be unsure of what do do. You also don't have any option for houses & hotels or rent cards, so there isn't really anywhere for the game to progress once you've all bought the properties. Overall, very disappointing.
